Becs Vanderklip - Owner

Hi, and welcome to Edge Fitness. I am Rebecca Vanderklip, known mostly as Becs :)

I am the owner of EDGE FITNESS. I am a qualified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, and nutritionist.  

I have two young girls, Holly & Mia, and one boy Hudson. 

My passion for health and fitness began at the young age of 20. I knew I needed to lose some weight and get healthy and that's where my journey started. I met my first trainer whom I spent the next 6-7 years training with. Prior to having any children, I lost over 20kgs and felt absolutely amazing. After having Holly, our first baby, I had put all my weight back on, and some, so I invested in my personal trainer and once more he helped me lose the post baby weight. After baby number two, Mia, I had more post baby weight to lose, and set to work losing over 30kgs, and competing in my first ever body building championship placing 1st in Classic Women's NABBA Nationals New Zealand 2020. It was just after I competed that I found a real passion for wanting to make health and fitness my new career path. I am passionate in helping others change their lifestyle for the better and to help improve their quality of life.

I have been there, I have done it, I know what it takes, I know the struggles and I know the discipline required.

So let us help you find that healthy balance, and fall in love with yourself, because being able to appreciate yourself and your body through all its stages of life, is the key to living a happy and healthy lifestyle.

Hey I'm Maya a personal trainer and group fitness instructor here at edge fitness!I am extremely passionate about helping others improve their health by implementing daily movement into their lives.I enjoy varied workout styles including resistance training, yoga and Pilates.I believe focusing on strength, mobility and positive mindset shifts is the way to sustain a healthy way of living.From competing in bodybuilding to falling pregnant I understand the importance of your time and goals, so by working with me I can tailor effective workouts to fit into your busy schedule.I am a caring and bubbly individual who would love to help you along your health and fitness journey!

Hey Everyone, my name is Dana, a personal trainer and group fitness instructor here at Edge fitness. I have over three years of experience working in group fitness training. I love pushing clients to succeed, whether that’s perfecting their technique or simply getting them through a challenging workout. A hybrid training style is my go to training at the moment, combining running, weights and HIIT. I recently completed a Hyrox event, with a half marathon on the horizon in May 2025. I have completed a Diploma of Nutrition which sparked my passion of helping others develop a balanced, sustainable relationship with food. I believe we should view food as fuel for our bodies, nourishing, energizing, and essential for performance and overall health. I’m happy to help educate you on nutrition if needed. If you’re looking for guidance or an extra push in your fitness journey I would love to help. You’ll see me around the gym a lot so feel free to ask any questions or just come say Hi

Hey, I’m Zac. I am a receptionist here at edge fitness. I started training as soon as I turned 15 and fell in love with pushing my physical limits in the gym and trying to improve myself. I started powerlifting beginning in 2023 and sadly had to stop due to a shoulder injury but now I am back at it and more committed to fitness and training than ever before. Fitness has always been an interest for me as I have competed at national levels in track and field as well as rugby, sadly had to stop that all due to yet another Injury. I’m still looking to find my place in the health and fitness industry and am happy to be doing that through Edge Fitness with the great support of my coworkers
